Acetate and Alcohol Inks

A bit of a departure for me - a challenge on our forum to make something with alcohol inks, acetate and eyelets (I can't remember the last time I used eyelets and forgot I had so many of them!). This was my effort - I only have three inks so I was a bit limited - but I swished all three together on some cling film and then rubbed the acetate over it all. I had purple fingers for a day!

The flower was stamped in Stazon and the whole shabang layered onto white and lilac card with a sentiment from Papertrey.

Raspberry Fizz Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day this Sunday and I have both sets of parents coming over for a real old fashioned high tea- it will be great to have everyone here together.

I have two sets of monogrammed notelets in the making for both Mum's but in the meantime here is the card for my dear Mum. She loves pink and pearls so I hope she will like this one made with Papertrey raspberry fizz and dark chocolate card, raspberry fizz ink along with a bit of sparkle.

Dawn's Favourite Colour Challenge

The last challenge before the big release tonight over at Papertrey Ink is to create using one of Dawn's colour schemes that she has been showcasing. I saw this combination of Vintage Cream ink on purple and had to have a go. I remembered I had this ruffled bloom stamp from Stampendous so although the challenge wasn't to case a card I wanted to try these flowers out;)

The paper is Polka Dot Parade and the ribbon is Lavender Moon - both from Papertrey, as is the sentiment on the Spellbinders ribbon tag. I filled the flower centres with stickles but it doesn't show up too well in this photo.
I don't think I will be able to get up at 3am for the party but I bet it will be fun!
